These terms govern the relationship between ComposedUK (trading name of J'vaani Wynter) and clients who commission writing services through composeduk.com.
All commissions begin with a consultation. No work begins until scope, price and timeline have been agreed and a deposit has been received.
Priority turnaround is available on request and means your Composer sets aside other work to focus exclusively on your piece, often working outside standard hours to meet your deadline. For most services this carries a surcharge of 50% on the agreed fee. For eulogies, out of respect for the sensitivity of the moment, the surcharge is 25%. Priority rates are confirmed during your consultation.
A deposit of 50% of the agreed fee is required before writing begins. The remaining balance is due on delivery of the final piece. We reserve the right to withhold delivery until full payment is received.
Each commission includes up to two rounds of revisions within the agreed scope. Additional revisions or significant changes to the brief may be subject to additional charges, which will be agreed in advance.
We treat all client information with complete discretion. Details of your commission, your personal story and any identifying information will never be shared, published or disclosed without your explicit written consent.
Upon receipt of full payment all rights to the commissioned piece transfer to the client. ComposedUK retains no rights to the work.
If you cancel a commission after work has begun the deposit is non-refundable. If ComposedUK is unable to complete a commission for any reason a full refund will be issued.
ComposedUK does not write essays, dissertations, coursework, exam submissions or any piece of work intended to be submitted as the client's own academic output for the purpose of assessment or qualification. If a commission is found to be in breach of this clause after work has begun, the commission will be cancelled immediately and no refund will be issued. By engaging our services you confirm that your commission does not fall within this exclusion.
Personal statements for university, professional or employment applications are offered as a legitimate drafting and writing assistance service and are not covered by the academic work exclusion above. It is the client's sole responsibility to ensure that any piece submitted complies with the requirements and integrity policies of the institution or organisation to which it is submitted. ComposedUK accepts no liability for how commissioned work is used after delivery.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
